The CIC Suffolk Network (CICSN) is the trade association for independent, micro Community Interest Companies in Suffolk - independent, in that they are not part of a larger enterprise and micro, in that they have less than 10 full-time employess. They also need to be operationally based exclusively, or predominantly, in Suffolk.

The CIC Suffolk Network (CICSN) operates as an informal network of Suffolk Community Interest Companies, with no paid staff and a volunteer management committee. We are a mutual support group of independent Suffolk micro Community Interest Companies (with less than 10 full-timeemployees). Events and communications are arranged on an ad hoc basis, as and when appropriate.

CICSN is working on developing and implementing the "Big Society" and Suffolk County Council's new strategic direction agenda and "Our Place" initiative.

CICSN is both a membership organisation and a strategy and policy organisation. CICSN's primary aim is to embed micro Community Interest Companies firmly into the economic framework of Suffolk, and to show measurable and significant social and economic impact. At CICSN our vision is a prosperous and vibrant micro Community Interest Company sector in Suffolk.

CICSN is the county mouthpiece for the micro Community Interest Company movement linking national, regional and local enterprise strategies and interpreting and promoting these appropriately to practitioners in the county. CICSN also advises and influences other local policy makers/stakeholders on policy development.

CICSN exists to build and strengthen the platform for a thriving micro Community Interest Company movement to ensure the growth and increase of the diversity, prosperity and sustainability in Suffolk.

CICSN aims to be the primary source of knowledge & information about micro Community Interest Companies in Suffolk.
